Abstract

1. The phosphorylation of aliphatic-aromatic chlorosilanes with phosphorus trichloride in the presence of aluminum chloride was studied. The reactivities of benzylchloromethylsilanes rise with increase in the number of Si-methyl groups, whereas the yields of organosilicon-phosphorus products fall. Under the conditions of the synthesis benzyltrimethylsilane does not form organosilicon-phosphorus compounds. 2. The side reactions were studied, and the relations of the yields to the structure of the aliphaticaromatic chlorosilane and the rate of removal of hydrogen chloride were established. 3. Five new [(silylalkyl)phenyl]phosphonous dichlorides were isolated and characterized.
