Abstract
A new and improved preparation of perfluoropyridin-4-yloxy imino compounds from pentafluoropyridine is described. Pentafluoropyridine was used as the starting material for the preparation of a range of pyridine derivatives that bear mono-substituent. The nucleophilic substitution of pentafluoropyridine with oximes occurs at the 4-position of pyridine ring by the oxygen site of oxime. Therefore, in this work, we wish to report an efficient synthetic route of the oxime-containing perfluoroheteroaromatic systems for the first time. .
