Abstract
An oligomeric compound was synthesized by the polycondensation of 18-dibenzo-6-crown with formaldehyde, which, like the polyethylene and polypropylene glycols, forms complexes of related type with alkali metal and ammonium cations, but which are less stable than those of their low-molecular analog, namely 18-dibenzo-6-crown.
