Abstract

1,1-Dichloro-1-nitrosoalkanes react with trivalent phosphorus acid chlorides not containing a P-O ether bond in the presence of nucleophilic reagents (sulfur dioxide, ethanethiol) to produce phosphorylated alkylchloroformoximes. This is rationalized in terms of intermediate O-alkylchloroformiminoyldichlorophosphorane formation.
