Abstract
Biodiesel is obtained by using Jatropha curcas L. seed as feedstock and KOH as the catalyst. Effects of the reaction conditions on the yield of biodiesel are studied, and the reaction mechanism and the reaction kinetics model are pointed out. The best reaction stir speed, reaction temperature, and reaction time are 150 r/min, 55°C, and 1 h, respectively.
