Abstract
Re‐engineering, or, to call it by its correct name, business process re‐engineering, has been sweeping the business world for the last few years. But does it have any implications for education? Puts forward the view that a re‐engineering approach is a valuable way of rethinking the nature of school leadership and management to meet the challenge of the twenty‐first century. Suggests more appropriate ways of leading and managing to meet the challenges ahead.
