Abstract

Adoption of any unfamiliar technology entails an increased risk relative to the use of established well-understood technologies. Hence, the use of OOT on a project increases the probability of failure. The paper discusses the Re-engineering Option Analysis when Object-Oriented Technology is the major concern. Our model refines Boehm's Ada-COCOMO based on the study of 23 re-engineered projects.
