Abstract

Frontotemporal dementia (FTD) is a neurodegenerative disorer characterised by circumscribed and often asymmetric lobar trophy of the frontal parts of the brain. In some cases it can be assoiated with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis [1], although there are iverse clinical manifestations. FTD accounts for as much as 25% of resenile dementias [2]. Some patients with FTD can develop new, r enhanced nascent artistic skills [3], despite progressive demenia, however not all patients have prior artistic training and typically ost have the semantic dementia subtype.
