Abstract
We read the article “Effectiveness of Postoperative Antibiotics in Orthognathic Surgery: A Meta-Analysis” by Danda and Ravi.1 We previously published an article entitled “Perioperative Antibiotic Prophylaxis in Orthognathic Surgery: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis of Clinical Trials,”2 first published in electronic format in December 2010 in the Journal of Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology, Oral Radiology, and Endodontics. Its printed version subsequently became available in the July 2011 issue.
