Abstract

This paper briefly reviewed the establishment and development of heat conduction microcalorimeter and introduced the research process of RD496 microcalorimeter. Summarized and introduced the application of RD496 microcalorimeter in chemistry and materials research, including the determination of crystalline transformation temperature, enthalpy of conversion, enthalpy of dissolution, enthalpy of mixing and enthalpy of formation, the reseach of chemical reaction thermokinetics and dilution crystallization kinetics, determination of the specific heat and thermal conductivity of solid materials, the calorimetric study of in situ growth and trace adsorption of materials. Meanwhile, the application of RD496 microcalorimeter in polymer chemistry and physics, biology chemistry and agricultural science had been metioned.
