Abstract
In November the first national conference for health care support workers (HCSWs) was held by the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) at its headquarters in London, over 150 delegates, mostly HCSWs attended. The title ‘The Unsung Heroes: Valuing the Health Care Support Worker’ set the scene for a day full of hot topics, passion for patient care and education, and opportunities for networking and sharing experiences.
