Abstract

Post-encapsulation of metal nanoparticles within small-pore zeolites has posed a significant challenge. In their Research Article (e202303503), Hae Sung Cho, Jeong-Chul Kim, Changbum Jo et al. showcase the effective utilization of 2-aminoethanethiol as a bi-grafting agent, resulting in the even distribution of uniform nanoparticles throughout a microporous zeolite matrix. Containment within the small micropores protected the nanoparticles against harsh thermal sintering and inhibited the fouling of the metal surface by coke.
