Abstract

Circuits for the realization of mutually coupled circuits using bipolar transitions (BJTs), current conveyors (CCIIs), or operational transconductance amplifiers (OTAs) as active elements are proposed. The circuits are derived by using the nullator-norator technique. The circuits have the following advantages: (1) the values of a primary self-inductance, a secondary self-inductance, and a mutual inductance can be independently tuned by three resistors or electronically; (2) these circuits use grounded capacitors which are suitable from the viewpoint of integrated circuit implementation; and (3) the circuits offer simplicity for circuit design for mutually coupled circuit simulation. As an example of its application, a coupled tuned circuit using CCIIs is given, with the experimental results. >
