Abstract
The historical roots of Brazilian Methodism are understood, in principle, based on history and theology inherited from North American Protestant Missionary Movements. This research seeks, nonetheless, to highlight actions of missionaries in the Brazilian religious context, and accentuate further the contemporary contexts that are important for Brazilian Methodism.
