Abstract

Rayleigh-B\'enard convection is simulated to study the effects of inertial, nonisothermal particles on buoyancy-driven turbulent fluid. Distinct particle characteristics, such as gravitational settling and specific heat, are isolated to infer which are dominant in affecting the fluid.
