Abstract

In this article, the author describes the institutes of warships and the exclusive economic zone, their origin and nature. A warship is a ship belonging to the armed forces of a state, carries external signs of belonging to a warship, is placed under the command of a person who is entered in the list of authorized officers or in another document of equivalent significance and has a crew subjected to military stalemate. The exclusive economic zone is a 200 nautical mile belt, in which a coastal state exercises its sovereign rights. In this paper, considering the opinions of domestic and foreign scientists, as well as domestic and comparative legal solutions, the author will try to analyze the status of warships in the economic zone more closely, as well as make suggestions for its improvement.
