Abstract
The system of composite steel and concrete space grid structures up to 60 m was considered. Its distinctive features are a rational combination of properties of concrete and steel, as well as a simplified erection procedure. The multi-criteria numerical analysis of space grid structures with a span of 18m was carried out by finite element method (FEM) in order to search for optimal parameters of cross-sections and arrangement of structural rods. That was accomplished by creating 48 different FE models of space grid structures in the graphical algorithmic editor and analysis of emerging stresses, displacements and potential deformation energy. The results of analysis were used in construction and designing of building in Kharkiv.
