Abstract
This chapter reviews the rationale for the nonsurgical management of internal derangements and osteoarthrosis. Evidence for the natural course of these disorders is presented with implications for treatment. Emphasis is placed on patient education, physical therapy, medication, and occlusal appliance therapy.
