Abstract

Suicide is the most common cause of death among young people, People who tend to commit suicide may be feelings of fear, hopelessness, helplessness, confusion, and depression as well. These people more they want of suffering it is caught escape not to really have the intention to commit suicide. The research methodology is descriptive CORRELATIONAL. The research sample consisted of 120 female workers employed at the hospital who were selected by simple random sampling is; main instrument of data collection as well as spiritual health questionnaire (PULUTZIN -ELISON), Emotional Intelligence (Sharing) and a measure of suicidal ideation (Beck) is. Research hypotheses methods Pierson correlations and regression analysis using the software SPSS were tested. The results showed that emotional intelligence and spiritual health a significant inverse relationship with suicidal thoughts are in the sample. Correlation analysis between variables showed negative correlation and significance between variables, emotional intelligence and spiritual health, suicidal thoughts there and in the meantime, health, religious (R=-0/688 and p=0/000) and health (R=-0/621 and p=0/000) the highest correlation have suicidal thoughts. Results of regression analysis showed that emotional intelligence and spiritual health, 47% of the variation in suicidal thoughts have been expressed. The results showed that, between emotional intelligence and spiritual health, there is a significant association with suicidal thoughts; Therefore strengthening and education and provide solutions to promote the spiritual and emotional intelligence can reduce the incidence of thoughts, suicide attempt and effective.
