Abstract

This chapter focuses on liquidity ratios and the related analysis provided by working capital ratios. In addition, the chapter considers how an entity's capital structure contributes to an assessment of that entity's long-term financial stability. Then, it looks at the key ratios in the assessment of entities' capital structures and considers how to evaluate organizations' ability to survive with high levels of borrowings. Throughout the chapter, calculations for various liquidity ratios are illustrated.
