Rate constants for chain propagation and termination in the oxidation of N-alkylacetamides

Abstract

1. Flash photolysis has been used to measure rate constants for second-power chain termination in the oxidation of N,N-dimethyl-, N-n-butyl-, and N-isopropylacetamides, together with the corresponding rate constants for chain propagation. 2. Rate constants have been determined for the interaction of amide peroxide radicals and various types of inhibitors.
