Abstract

Corticosteroid binding globulin (CBG) of human plasma saturated with tritiated corticosterone was used to measure the concentration of rat serum corticosterone using the competitive proteinbinding technique described by Murphy (1967). Linear standard curves were obtained and a series of corticosterone determinations performed on normal rats. The recovery rate was greater than 90% when known amounts of corticosterone were added to rat serum during the deproteinization step of the procedure.
