Rare-earth metal triflates catalyzed three-component coupling of aldehydes, ketones or ketoesters and benzyl carbamate: An efficient one-pot stereoselective synthesis of Cbz-protected β-amino carbonyl compounds

Abstract

Sc(OTf) 3 and Yb(OTf) 3 have been found to be efficient catalysts for one-pot three-component coupling of aldehydes, ketones or ketoesters and benzyl carbamate in acetonitrile at room temperature to furnish the corresponding Cbz-protected β-amino ketones in impressive yields and good diastereoselectivity.
