Abstract

Introduction :Sclerosing stromal cell tumor (SST) is an extremely rare benign ovarian tumor which is a subtype of ovarian stromal tumor of sex cord-stromal origin . So far about 208 cases throughout the world .These tumors occur predominantly in the second and third decade of life. Case report :We report a case of sclerosing stromal cell tumor of ovary in 14 year old girl for its rarity who presented with mass abdomen and menstural irregularity with Inhibin B elevated .CECT abdomen showed features suggestive of left ovarian solid mass lesion with internal clear cystic areas drained by left ovarian and internal iliac veins -possibly malignant mass (?Dysgerminoma).Patient was planned for laprotomy and proceed .Surprisingly histopathological examination revealed Sclerosing stromal tumor of ovary .
