Abstract

Theoretical progress in estimating the rates and distributions in the flavour changing neutral current (FCNC) B decays is reviewed. These decays provide precision tests of the standard model of electroweak interactions in the flavour sector and QCD. Experimental limits on some of the rare B decays are close to theoretical estimates and hence they should soon be observed.
