Abstract

Abstract Sharply increasing trends were observed for recent atmospheric concentrations of CFC alternatives by GC/MS analysis of samples collected in Hokkido, Japan and Syowa Station, Antarctica. These trends were consistent with those calculated based on the world production/release statistics for HFC-134a and HCFC-141b, but inconsistent for HCFC-142b, suggestive of some inaccurate release estimations.
