Abstract
Infiltrating or intramuscular lipoma is a rare entity, occurring only exceptionally in the oral cavity, being the intraoral lipomas rare per se. The main features of this lesion is the infiltrating growing pattern of the lipoma which, dissecting the muscle fibres may mimic an aggressive behaviour. We report a case of infiltrating lipoma of the labial vestibule of the oral cavity, which exhibited a sudden growth, after a lag time of 2 years, and was associated with mild neurological impairment.
