Abstract

Rapid syphilis tests have become the important supplement to the screening and diagnosis of syphilis. WHO recommends the application of the rapid in resource-limited areas to increase the coverage of screening and testing of syphilis among pregnant women in order to strengthen the prevention and control of mother-to-child transmission of syphilis. This article reviews the current status of rapid syphilis tests and their application among pregnant women. Key words: Syphilis; Rapid tests; Pregnant women
