Abstract

Rapid production and characterization of Fe and Co co-doped ZnO nanoparticles are reported. FexCo0.1Zn0.9−xO (0.0≤x≤0.2) nanoparticles have been synthesized by a simple microwave-assisted combustion method. X-ray diffraction spectra of FexCo0.1Zn0.9−xO (0.0≤x≤0.2) nanoparticles confirmed the hexagonal wurtzite structure without any secondary phase formation. SEM micrographs indicated that all samples have grains mainly in the form of nanoparticles. Magnetic property investigations have been done by VSM and the results revealed that all samples have M–H curves with a small coercivity and remanence indicating room-temperature ferromagnetic properties. The saturation magnetization and coercivity of the samples were increased by Fe doping.
