Abstract
No carrier-added [ 18F]fluoride was produced via the 19F(γ,n) 18F reaction by γ-irradiation of 2-fluoroaniline and subsequent extraction of the produced ion with water. The fluoride was then purified by liquid chromatography on a Chromabond-NO 2 column. This procedure is a convenient alternative for the low cost production of this important nuclide.
