Abstract

In this work, superhydrophobic surface on hardened Portland cement stone (CS) was rapid fabricated by a simple solution immersing method. Flower-like calcium stearate forming on CS surface exhibited superhydrophobicity. The superhydrophobic CS surface was stable in corrosive solutions and exhibited low water adsorption with corrosive solutions. The findings might provided a simple, low-cost and effective way to protection cement concrete from corrosion.
