Abstract

M R myelography has been described by several authors [ 1-61. Most have used techniques based on three-dimensional gradient-echo or fast spinecho pulse sequences. The examination time varied between 5 and I 3 mm. and postprocessing with a maximum-intensity-projection algorithm was necessary for three-dimensional visualization 13-51. The rapid acquisition with relaxation enhancement technique was initially described by Hennig et al. [7]. In this technical note we present our experience with a single-shot turbo spin-echo sequence. derived from the rapid acquisition with relaxation enhancement technique, that requires approximately 2 sec to obtain one image.
