Abstract

Rapid methods for the identification of chlorine and chlorine dioxide in air by a sensor are proposed. The methods are based on the different sensitivity of the sensor to chlorine and chlorine dioxide, depending on the temperature of its surface and the capability of chlorine dioxide to decompose readily under photolysis and thermolysis.
