Abstract
Anguina agrostis is an important grass parasitic nematode and listed as an agricultural and quarantine pest in various countries. It is difficult to identify it based simply on morphology. A loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) assay was developed to detect A. agrostis. The amplification process of this LAMP method took 60 min, and the detection limit was 1/400 of the total DNA extracted from a single juvenile (J2), an equivalent of 3.15 ng of DNA. This is the first report of the detection of A. agrostis by using a LAMP-based method.
