RAPID ANTIGEN TEST IN COVID-19- NOT RELEVANCE IN PATIENT OF LOW OXYGEN SATURATION

Abstract

Covid-19 is a virugenic highly contagious infection caused by SARS-CoV-2. Its rst case was reported in December, 2019 in Wuhan, china. Infection is mainly spread via Respiratory route. Symptoms are vary from mild fever, Cold, Body ache to Sore throat and Breathlessness. Unspecic symptoms include Diarrhea, Headache etc. Since 2019 after detection of rst case, Virus changes its form (Alpha variant, Delta variant, Omicron variant etc) so it is important to detect this disease as early as possible. RTPCR test is a time consuming test in comparison of Rapid Antigen Test. But it is not a good idea to test for Covid-19 by Rapid kit to a patient who have very low oxygen saturation.
