Abstract

In the real world, the vague and imprecise information which comes from language is difficult to be dealt with. The discrete fuzzy number offers a flexible way to represent this qualitative information. In general, alternatives can be compared according to the location of core. However, when the cores are same, it needs a method to rank alternatives. In this paper, a ranking method is proposed to measure the performance of alternatives whose evaluations are represented by the discrete fuzzy number. The proposed method is based on the TODIM (an acronym in Portuguese of Interactive and Multi-criteria Decision Making) method. It ranks alternatives according to the dominance of each alternative. The experimental result shows that the proposed method is feasibility.
