Abstract

1. A new method is proposed for determining the stability of the solid solution in precipitation-hardening alloys during continuous cooling and during isothermal holding. The decomposition of the solid solution in alloy LANKMts was recorded in both cases. 2. The solid solution decomposes in two stages — a high temperature stage (above 520°) with formation of large lamellar precipitates, and a low-temperature stage (below 520°) with formation of dispersed precipitated.
