Abstract

Eye movements during disorimination of simultaneously presented random textures pairs, differing in increasing mutual transitional probability, were recorded. The main finding can be summrized that the greater mutual difference the lower is the number of eye crossings between these two textures. Three cycles were proposed: the target sample forming and estimating its parameters; the forming and estimating the probe sample parameters; finally the comparison of parameters of target and probe serves as a basis for the decision about the termination of the discrimination process. The corresponding flow-chart has been designed.
