Abstract
In order to make this presentation precise and systematic I propose to divide it in the following sections. Section 1 is an introduction and deals in fine with the dynamics of legal aid. Section 2 explores the inextricably linked relation ship between legal education and legal aid. Section 3 then goes on to present a brief narrative of the litigation free village scheme and critically examined its contribution in providing new vision to the blend of legal education & legal aid. Section 4 & final section is an epitome. During the course of this presentation a modest attempt has been made to problematize the stereotypical conception of Legal aid limited merely to providing the lawyers to the litigants in the courts. This singular focus on the litigation fails to take note of both pretrial counseling & post litigation strategy. This paper would mainly focus on the former.
