Abstract

PT. Tebo Prima will expand mining towards the D1 block of Rantau Api site with an area of IUP of production operations 304.674 Ha. This area has 3 seams with varying thicknesses between seams. So far, PT. Tebo Prima has conducted a feasibility study on the area with an economic pit limit area is 38.62 ha, but hasn’t reached the detailed planning stage. Responding to this matter, it is necessary to have an analysis measures on mine planning that explains in detail direction for more directed, so that the economical final planning are achieved. This research will focus on technical design of mining which includes the calculation of reserves, mining technical studies in pit quarterly plan design, and technical studies of mine water. This research type is applied research, according to A. Muri Yusuf (2005) applied research is research that emphasizes more on the application of science, application science, or use science for and in society, or for certain needs (industry, business etc. ), data will be grouped into primary and secondary data. Reserve quantity in pit limit that has been designed is 6,464,357.82 MT and the overburden volume is 4,928,199.04 BCM with stripping ratio 0.76: 1. Mining acticvities using mechanical equipment. PT. Tebo Prima has mechanical equipment consisting of 3 unit kobelco excavator, 3 units GIGA 285 Ps ISSUZU dump truck for overburden, 4 units HINO FM 260 TI for coal, and 200 units komatsu PC 200 excavators placed in the stock room. The production target set by the company is 80,000 MT per month. Plan of coal production is carried out in 2019 and mine planned for 6 years, in 2019 coal production target at 1,032,520.59 MT and overburden removal 813,233.38 BCM. The annual design is divided into 4 quarters, each quarter consists of three months of mining. The first month mining (sequence I) is targeted to produce coal at 96,669.88 MT by referring mechanical equipment target capasity, mining is carried out 2 fleet formation consist of 1 fleet overburden removal and 1 fleet coal getting. The second month mining (sequence II) coal production target at 86,621.76 MT at 2 fleet mining. And in the third month (sequence III) coal production was targeted at 96,207.90 MT at 2 fleet mining. the first quarter is carried out with stripping ratio 0.76: 1. The design of the mine road was calculated using the AASTHO method with a minimum road width on straight road is 8.4 m and on the bend is 15.10 m, the haul road through hilly and valley areas so to maintain the maximum grade, use cut and fill method, Volume cut is 1,540 m 3 and volume fill is 14,110 m 3 with distance haul at 226.76 m from front loading to disposal and 658.426 m from loading front to the stock rom. Mine drainage system is mine dewatering by directing water at sump, volume sump is designed according to volume of water to be collected, through the calculation process of plan rainfall analysis,volume of sump is 540.52 m 3 and pump is used to bring out water from sump towards settling pond.
