Abstract

One of the requirements for graduation in the diploma III study program at the State Polytechnic of Pontianak is the making of a final project which process starts at the beginning of semester 6. Students need to take steps to complete the final project starting with submitting titles, proposals, submitting supervisors, and consulting with supervisor. At present the process of these stages is still being carried out manually, with time constraints and the ongoing spread of the covid-19 virus (corona virus) so that the Government issues PPs, Circular Letters and urges to implement social distancing and physical distancing, so the manual process does not run automatically optimal, the reason is that students have not been able to meet prospective supervisors, supervisors also have the desire to choose prospective students to be mentored, and consult with supervisors to get input and corrections related to the design and process of the final project. From these problems, it is necessary to build a final project information system that is made web-based with a codeigniter framework with supporting technology for AJAX, JavaScript and Mysql as a Database Management System. This system has three user entities, namely students, supervisors and administrators. This system is capable of serving title proposals, proposals, submission of supervisors, selection of students to be mentored, and media consultations between students and supervisors for smooth online and realtime final project processes.
