Abstract

Bamboo has an economic selling value to the community, one of which is the management of bamboo by making skewers, the manufacture of skewers is still mostly done manually, namely the process of making the skewers has a separate process (using several machines) to become a skewer, in the design of the making machine. This skewer has ingredients that are easily available and has a single machine that unites the process of making skewers in one frame. The purpose of making a skewer machine is to facilitate the work of bamboo skewers craftsmen, in producing skewers so that they can increase their productivity. From the results of the research on the design of the skewer making machine, the length of bamboo measuring 40 cm produces a slicing process that has a thickness of 2.6 mm, and 15-21 sticks/minute, while the shaving process has a skewer size of 3 mm in diameter, producing 25-28 skewers/minute, and the overall capacity produces 250 - 300 skewers/hour.
