Abstract

Lecture courses in the English Language Education Study Program of STKIP Setiabudhi Rangkasbitung are still conducted in face-to-face class, so the students who do not attend lectures cannot know the pronunciation material at that time, because the Pronunciation course is a practical course in the English pronunciation system. The E-Learning Pronunciation is built so that lectures can be carried out anywhere and anytime without reducing the quality of the teaching and learning process. Therefore, the students who are left behind can continue to follow the Pronunciation course material, as well as habituating students in utilizing communication and information technology. E-Learning Pronunciation is important to be built to improve the ability of students’ pronunciation when doing distance learning, so that students are clearer and more firm in understanding Pronunciation so that there are no errors in English pronunciation. Participants in this study were first semester students of English education study programs. This study uses an experimental research design with the Prototype System development method and system of testing uses Black box testing.

PENDAHULUAN

Revolusi industri 4.0 merupakan capaian tertinggi dalam kemajuan teknologi pada sistem informasi dalam sejarah peradaban manusia. Penelitian Manda Rohandi dkk, 2016, mengembangkan Web-Based Computer-Assisted Language Learning (WBCALL) sebagai media pembelajaran yang melengkapi buku ajar matakuliah IC, sehingga dapat meningkatkan motivasi mahasiswa dalam mempelajari bahasa Inggris dan mendukung terciptanya suasana pembelajaran yang lebih menyenangkan. Hal yang sama pun dilakukan pada Program studi pendidikan bahasa Inggris sebagai salah satu program studi yang ada di STKIP Setiabudhi yang terletak di Kabupaten Lebak Provinsi Banten untuk meningkatkan kemampuan Pronunciation mahasiswa dengan merubah Sistem pembelajaran tatap muka dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran E-Learning Pronunciation Berbasis Web dalam proses belajar dan pembelajaran. E-Learning Pronunciation ini dibangun agar perkuliahan dapat dilaksanakan dimanapun dan kapanpun tanpa mengurangi kualitas dari proses belajar mengajar sehingga mahasiswa yang tertinggal dapat tetap mengikuti materi matakuliah Pronunciation, juga sebagai pembiasaan kepada mahasiswa dalam pemanfaatan teknologi komunikasi dan informasi. Sistem Informasi E-Learning Bahasa Inggris berbasis Web dibangun dengan menggunakan Software PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor) dan Database MySQL
