Abstract
AbstractThe Raman spectra of the six open‐chain pentenes C5H10 and the spectrum of cyclopentene C5H8 are reported on. Polarization measurements of the latter compound were made and a short discussion of its symmetry is given.Measurements concerning the intensities of Raman lines were carried out for the quantitative analysis of a binary mixture of pentene‐1 and 2‐methylbutene‐1 and of a ternary mixture containing trans‐ and cis‐pentene‐2 and 2‐methylbutene‐2.
