Abstract

In this article the experimental results for the Raman spectra of HgCdTe samples with mole fraction from 0.15 to 0.4 are presented. The results encompass the peaks of the low-energy phonon bands within the energy range of 10 cm−1–80 cm−1. The theoretical predictions for which the energy of these peaks should be around 24 cm−1 and 45 cm−1 are confirmed. For all measured samples, both discussed peaks occur, and their energy is similar in each measured sample.
