Abstract

The Raman and infrared absorption spectra of (NH2CH2COOH)2CdBr2 single crystal were studied. The observed Raman and infrared lines were assigned to the internal vibrations of glycine molecules. The vibrational spectra show that the glycine molecule takes the form of the zwitterion in the crystal. © 1998 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
