Abstract
AbstractThe Raman spectra of the δ‐phase of ammonium chloride crystals at low temperatures are carefully investigated. Particular attention is focused on the Raman spectra in the region of the internal vibrations of the ammonium group. At liquid helium temperatures intense sharp lines of definite symmetry type are observed. These lines are identified as two particle bound states (biphonons) in agreement with theoretical predictions.
