Abstract

1. 1. Radular muscle myoglobin from the gastropod mollusc Polinices duplicatus was isolated and found to be monomeric. 2. 2. The molecular weight of the myoglobin was estimated to be 14,500 by gel filtration chromatography, and about 13,000 by SDS-disc gel electrophoresis. 3. 3. The relationship between monomeric and dimeric prosobranch radular muscle myoglobins is briefly considered.
