Abstract
Because it is much more cost‐effective to reduce radon exposure from sources other than drinking water, the US Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) proposed both a maximum contaminant level (MCL) for radon in drinking water and a less stringent option ‐ an alternative MCL (AMCL) combined with a multimedia mitigation (MMM) plan that addresses radon risks in indoor air.
