Abstract

Radiovision's clarity, power and flexibility no longer need stressing. It is nearly seven years since at the first world conference on educational broadcasting, held in Rome by the European Broadcasting Union, France, Holland, Norway, Sweden, Niger all projected still, bright, large colour pictures as an integral part of a radio broadcast. At that time, in 1961, the combination of tape and strip was not new, and back in the thirties, before the days of tape, Scotland had made experiments with radiovision; before that there were no doubt experiments with gramophone records and lantern slides, and before that lantern lectures.
